Jakarta plans to implement an Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) policy or electronic paid roads. With regard to fares, the amount ranges from Rp. 5,000 to Rp. 19,900 for one trip.

This policy is an electronic limitation of motorized vehicles on certain roads, areas and times.

ERP will be implemented on roads or areas that meet the criteria. There are at least four criteria for an area or road section that can implement ERP.

First, it has a level of density or ratio of motor vehicle traffic volume to road capacity on one of the road lanes equal to or greater than 0.7 during peak/busy hours.

Second, it has two lanes and each lane has at least two lanes.

Third, only motorized vehicles can pass with an average speed of less than 30 km/hour during peak hours.

Fourth, the availability of public transport networks and services on routes that comply with minimum service standards and statutory provisions.

Based on these criteria, there is a list of 25 road sections that will be implemented by ERP.
