All the data stays privately on your phone. To prevent data loss, Cloudy uses the standard Android auto-backup feature, which runs once a day. This allows you to get a new phone, and have your data intact when you install the app there. It is your private backup, tied to your Google account.

There's also a feature to export your data to Google Drive, a mail to self, or any other option offered by the Android system, and to import it back later.
