It gives me immense pleasure to invite you all to the 17th Annual Workshop.

Aortic Valve Repair is not widely practiced due to various reasons and one among

it being the lack of a structured approach to deal with the problem unlike the

Mitral Valve. Last year we had Prof. Schafers who beautifully demonstrated the

techniques and introduced us to geometric height, effective height and various

techniques involved in remodeling. To complete the subject and to explore all

possible ways and techniques we continue with the same theme this year but with

different school of practices. Two other pioneers in this field, Prof. Gebrine

El Khoury and Prof. Emmanuel Lansac will be our visiting faculty this year.

Prof. K. Chandrasekaran, from Mayo clinic who has done a lot of original work in

Valvular Heart disease including the PISA will enlighten us on Echo Assessment

in the Opertating Room. The programme is packed with interesting topics, with

relevance to current clinical practices. Also we have a national faculty rich in

experience and with your continued participation and interaction, I am sure we

will be having another wonderful two days of academics. As in the past we will

have a very useful pre dinner session called “ Meet the Experts”, a new format

this year. I request you all to kindly register early to help us organize it

The venue of the conference will be in GKD Auditorium, GKNM Hospital to

facilitate better faculty interaction during a live workshop.
