INTRODUCTION

HOW IT IS STRUCTURED TIG

The quote [oils §] means that Olivari has put the word among those for which there has been found a satisfactory translation in Genoa. It is sometimes also referred to [FB] (Franco Bampi) where the translation is a proposal. It will also put forward suggestions of potential collaborators. Often for the obvious translation it is not indicated any source. The citations are made in this order [cas], [oil], [FB or other]: the presence of a source eliminates all subsequent, in particular if there is [oils] means that the translation of the Italian word is not available on the Casaccia. The hierarchy of sources allows us to understand how the various entries have been recorded.

For each lemma Italian may be present notes and phraseology.

SOME CRITERIA FOR PASSING FROM ITALIAN IN GENOA
