About First World Problem Jar

Enjoy millions of the latest Android apps, games, music, movies, TV, books, magazines & more. Anytime, anywhere, across your devices.

It's not easy living in a first world country. Every day, we deal with problems that starving children in third world countries couldn't begin to understand. Like when you can't fit leftovers in the fridge because you have too much food. Or when there's nothing to drink at home, except a virtually unlimited supply of clean, fresh drinking water.

First World Problem Jar is designed to function as a "swear jar" for first world problems. It enables the user to easily donate $1 to help starving children, and then opens an environment to create and share your own First World Problem meme with friends.

First World Problem Jar was specifically designed to maximally streamline the ability to donate $1 to help starving children, without needing to deal with account or credit card information. The user simply pushes the big red button, which opens a Google Play interface and finalizes the $1 donation with another click. The financial processing is done through Google Play, so it's secure, and all of your information is already set up for use, just like when you buy an app. The entire process takes two seconds, every time.

Donations go to UNICEF. They've been providing disaster relief and aid to children in war-torn and third world countries since WWII. They won a Nobel Peace Prize in 1965 for being so good at helping children who need it the most. They're effective, they're involved globally, they're one of the good ones. Check them out at www.UNICEF.org

Now, the next time you feel the sting of coming across an empty Brita water jug, and needing to wait 30 seconds for clean, fresh water, you can say "It's okay, I donate regularly to starving children", and share your problem with friends.

When the user creates their own First World Problem meme, a JPEG file of the meme is stored in the sdcard root under fwpmeme1.jpg, fwpmeme2.jpg, etc., and First World Problem Jar makes it easy to share your meme with friends by automatically opening it with your phone's built-in image viewer (usually this is the camera's Gallery).

If the user just wants to create a First World Problem meme and share it with friends without donating $1 to help UNICEF, this can be done by pressing the big red button and then canceling the transaction from the Google Play interface.
