Lock your screen with one tap — from the app, the Lock screen icon, a Quick Settings tile or a home screen shortcut. It saves wear on your power button and lets you put a lock action wherever you want it.
WHAT IT DOES
• Two app icons: one opens the app, the blue "Lock screen" icon locks at once
• Lock button inside the app
• Quick Settings tile — pull down, one tap
• Home screen shortcut you can place anywhere
• "Double tap to lock" is being added to App Mania launchers one by one: Opus, BUREAU, Orbit, Jarvis, Square, Ace Smart, Neo Hyperion, Computer Launcher, OS Style Launcher and Y2K. If your launcher shows this option in its settings, it uses this app.
ABOUT THE ACCESSIBILITY PERMISSION
Android only lets an app lock the screen through the Accessibility service, so this app uses the AccessibilityService API. Locking the screen is the only thing it is used for.
The app does NOT read your screen, does NOT see what you type, and does NOT collect, store or share any personal data. It has no internet permission, so it cannot send anything anywhere. The app is tiny and contains no ads, no analytics and no third-party SDKs.
The app explains all of this on a separate screen and asks for your agreement before it opens Android's Accessibility settings. You can turn the permission off at any time in Settings → Accessibility.
WHY A SEPARATE APP?
If you use an App Mania launcher, this app lets the launcher offer double-tap-to-lock without the launcher itself ever asking for the Accessibility permission. Everything related to that permission stays here, in one small app you can remove whenever you like. The launchers work fully without it.
GOOD TO KNOW
• If you force stop the app, or your phone puts it into deep sleep, Android turns the Accessibility permission off. Just turn it on again in the app.
• Fingerprint and face unlock keep working after you lock with this app.
