Dr Salim Mahmud is an educationist, professor of Dhaka University, author, international energy expert, national political personality.
Dr. Salim Mahmud is the central Information & Research Secretary, of the largest and most popular political party of Bangladesh Awami League, and Bangladesh Awami League is headed by its president, Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of the founding father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Bangladesh Awami League is the party for socio-economic development of Bangladesh. Under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh is set to become a developed economy. Bangladesh is growing at a very fast pace. The GDP growth rate of Bangladesh is over 7%, a rare event in the world. Dr Salim Mahmud is currently working as a Commissioner of Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC). Before joining BERC in 2009, Dr Mahmud was a faculty at the Department of Law of Dhaka University, Bangladesh.
