DEADGRIND is a first-person dark fantasy dungeon crawler: a hack and slash action RPG with loot, legendary swords and horror monsters, played in portrait with one thumb. Go down into the dungeon beneath Skull Hold, find better swords and fight your way down eight depths to hell.
THE DUNGEON
- 8 depths, each with its own architecture: Rot Chapel, Death Cult, Hollow Graves, Rotten Grave, Sunken Bastion, Bone Crucible, Soul Grinder and Throne of Cinders.
- A boss at the end of every section, elites, shrines with temporary boosts and special loot rooms.
- Every level is generated new: huge gothic halls, crypts, lava caves and a hell fortress, with viewpoints over the void.
- 5 tiers: monsters get more life, damage and speed, and the loot gets better.
- The Abyss: endless depths below depth 8 on tier 5.
LOOT AND SWORDS
- Swords only: one in each hand, or one two-handed sword.
- 40 legendary swords and 21 legendary rings.
- Every item rolls its stats in ranges. Rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, Mythic and Abyssal.
- 2 ring slots and 1 rune slot. Runes are cooldown abilities, like the Shockwave Rune, the Storm Rune and the Firewall Rune.
- Sockets and 6 kinds of gems from tier 2.
- Forge your swords up to +9 at the Blacksmith. Identify at the Sage, reroll at the Witch, salvage and repair at the Blacksmith.
- Reliquaries drop from bosses and are opened at the Fence.
YOUR HERO
- 3 classes: Ashdancer (attack speed), Gravewarden (life) and Runescar (runes).
- Normal or Hardcore. Hardcore is permadeath: one life, more gold and better drops.
- Spend your attribute points on Strength, Dexterity and Vitality.
- 7 magic scrolls, potions and the Town Portal.
- One stash shared by all your heroes.
SKULL HOLD
- The village at night: the Blacksmith, the Merchant, the Healer, the Sage, the Witch, the Fence, the Trader and the Fisher.
- Fishing at the jetty: catch swords, rings and materials.
- The bestiary lists every monster you have met, with its stats and its drops.
- An optional online leaderboard.
CONTROLS
- One-thumb controls: the stick walks and turns, attacks are automatic, and everything else is one tap.
- A dodge button and an optional tilt to look around.
- An optional tutorial: a boss fight on a mountain above the clouds.

DEADGRIND is a horror RPG made for adults, with grotesque monsters and blood.
DEADGRIND is free to download. It has optional reward videos and in-app purchases, including reliquaries with random swords: the game shows the odds before every purchase. There is no energy system.
Play offline: no account or login is needed, and your progress is saved on your device. The leaderboard, ads and purchases need an internet connection.
