Responsive, currency conversion app for travelers, backpackers and over landers.

The Currency Converter for Travelers is is a user friendly currency conversion and exchange app for designed travelers. For the only two use cases that I case about when on the go:

1. Convert an amount from some foreign currency to my currency

2. Calculate how much money is lost during an exchange

Features:

-Offline operation

This app doesn't not require online access. Personally, as a traveler I don't really need the most recent rate. The app comes with a currency rate snapshot from 7/15/17. Table can be easily updated when wifi/internet becomes available.

-Map based currency selector

I find scrolling through currency lists really annoying? Pick currency by country on a zoom-able map graphic. This is not Google map and does not eat data. Interface supports gestures like pinch zoom and pan.

-Country list based currency selector

App also includes currencies sorted by country names. Some countries and territories are not represented on the map because they're too small.

-Large keypad for easy input

-Easily calculation for exchange loss (or gain)

Compute how much you lose in an exchange transaction by entering 2 amounts in different currencies. App will compute percentage or amount lost/gain.

-No configuration necessary

-No Ads. Last thing we need when we travel are ads eating up precious bandwidth.
