Players control Kai, Zane, Cole, Jay, Lloyd, Wu, Nya, and, Dareth in their quest to defeat Ronin. Players can use the tornado of creation to create special builds with all four ninja. Lloyd can use these spots by himself because he possesses all four elements. Players can ride on dragons to access more of the world. Some segments feature characters riding in vehicles to reach more of the current level. The Ninja can use their elemental powers to solve certain puzzles as well as unlock extras.
