About Brain Training Note

N-back, speed and pattern drills with your own progress log. No account needed.

Train memory and focus a few minutes a day. Brain Training Note takes three tasks used in real cognitive-psychology research and turns them into short daily drills. It records not just your score but how you thought your way through each round, so you can see whether the practice is actually adding up.

■ Who it is for

· Anyone who keeps losing names, or what they walked into the room to do

· Students pushing their concentration up for exams and certifications

· Office workers juggling several threads across meetings and reports

· People who feel their attention has scattered after long phone use

· Anyone looking for a steady mental activity to share with a parent

■ Three training tasks

1. Working memory (N-back)

Tiles light up one at a time on a 3×3 grid. If the lit tile is the same one as N steps back, tap MATCH. You start at two steps back, and when your accuracy holds up, the next round asks you to hold one more in mind. This is the same task cognitive psychology uses to measure working-memory capacity.

2. Speed processing

A shape flashes and disappears, then you pick the matching shape and colour from four options. Get it right and the next one flashes faster; miss and it slows down. It starts at 1000 milliseconds and works down toward 200 as you improve, so your judgement speed is genuinely pushed rather than just measured.

3. Pattern matching

One cell of a 3×3 grid is left empty. Work out the rule the rows and columns follow — shape, colour, rotation, size — and pick the piece that belongs. Higher levels stack rules together and shorten the timer.

■ Interleaved sessions

A session mode alternates all three tasks. Repeating one task tends to make you good at that task alone; alternating forces you to rebuild your approach each round. After each round you record which strategy you used and whether it carried over to the next task.

■ What the log shows you

· Today's cognitive score and how it moved since yesterday

· A 14-day activity grid and your current streak

· Accuracy trend line by week, month or all time

· An 8-week heatmap of your training habit

· A four-axis profile: working memory, speed, reasoning, transfer awareness

Every task adapts its difficulty to your accuracy, keeping you out of the range that is too easy to hold attention or too hard to continue.

■ Your records stay on your device

No sign-up, no login. Training records are stored on your device and are never sent to any server, including the developer's. When you change phones or want a backup, export a file from Settings and import it on the new device. You can also erase everything in one step whenever you want.

■ Start light

Korean and English, light and dark themes. A round takes one to two minutes — a few minutes each morning is enough.
