Boring Text To Speech

Boring Text To Speech reads any text aloud — articles, notes, PDFs, e-books and web pages — so you can listen instead of staring at a screen.

LISTEN TO ANYTHING

• Type or paste text, or share it straight from another app

• Open PDF and EPUB files

• Import a web page with the built-in browser

• Scan printed text with your camera (Latin alphabet)

• The passage being read is highlighted as you listen

NATURAL VOICES

• Offline voices from your phone's own speech engine, in dozens of languages on most devices

• Premium natural voices in English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Arabic and Russian

• Ultra-realistic HD voices in Turkish

• Adjust the reading speed, and the pitch of device voices

KEEPS READING IN THE BACKGROUND

Lock your screen or switch apps and it keeps reading, with playback controls in your notifications.

EXPORT & SHARE

Turn text into an MP3 audio file, or into a 9:16 video with an animated waveform, ready to share.

YOUR LIBRARY

Everything you open is saved to your library, and the app remembers where you left off.

FAIR PRICING — NO SUBSCRIPTION

Reading with device voices is unlimited and needs no subscription. Premium voices and export use characters from one-time packs that never expire: 100,000, 500,000 or 2,000,000 characters.

PRIVACY

Your library and files stay on your device. Only the text you play with a premium voice is sent to our speech server to be turned into audio, and the text is not stored. No account, no analytics SDK.
