Binaural Forge lets you explore sound frequencies with precision in real time (no pre-recorded audio loops), using sine wave synthesis.

By playing slightly different tones in each ear, the brain perceives a rhythmic effect that can support relaxation, stress relief, meditation, focus, sleep.

1. Put on stereo headphones

2. Adjust the frequencies or choose a preset

3. Fine-tune the difference to create your binaural beat

4. Tap the heart icon to save sounds you enjoy

5. Leave the app running to keep the sound playing

🎧 Default sound

On first launch, the app starts with a comfortable default pair:

250 Hz / 255 Hz

This combination creates a gentle binaural beat (the number of beats heard per second) in the theta brainwave range (4 - 7.5 Hz), often associated with drowsiness, meditation, and light sleep.

🎛️ Main audio controls

Two editable displays for the left and right frequencies, shown in Hertz (a unit measuring how often an event occurs per second).

Sync button : Syncs the two frequencies to maintain a fixed offset while adjusting either one. This mode helps keep binaural beats and other frequency pairs consistent.

At the center of the screen are four pairs of frequency knobs used to control the sound.

Each row adjusts the left and right frequencies with different levels of precision:

• 1 Hz steps

• 10 Hz steps

• 25 Hz steps

• 50 Hz steps

Frequencies can range from 0 Hz (silence) up to 22,000 Hz.

Values can be adjusted with high precision, allowing detailed sound exploration.

Swipe right or up to increase the frequency.

Swipe left or down to decrease it.

🎚️ Additional controls

Two vertical sliders provide quick control over the listening experience.

• Speed

Controls how quickly frequencies change while adjusting the knobs.

• Volume

Controls the audio output level.

🧠 What are binaural beats?

Binaural beats occur when each ear hears slightly different frequencies.

Your brain processes the difference between the two tones and perceives a rhythmic beat corresponding to that difference.

Stereo headphones are recommended to fully experience binaural beats.

The app also works with speakers when generating pure tones or testing frequencies.
