About Backgammon Offline - Dice Log

Every roll goes in a log. Replay a game with the same dice. 5 levels, 2 players.

Race your 15 checkers home and bear them off before your opponent. Play Backgammon against the computer, or pass one phone between two players. It works offline and has no sign-in.

■ See every roll

- The dice for a game are set when the game starts. Whoever moves, and however they move, the rolls come in the same order.

- Open the roll log at any time during a game. It lists every roll for both sides, with doubles and turns that had no move.

- When a game ends, you can replay it with the same dice. Move differently and watch the same rolls come up again.

- Dice stats show how often each face has come up on this phone, for you and for the computer, next to what dice are expected to give.

- Prefer real dice? Choose Enter my own dice, roll them on the table, and enter them for both sides.

■ One line says why

- After the computer moves, a line under the board says what it did. Example: Computer 6-1: 13→7, 8→7 - made point 7.

- When a move is not allowed, a line tells you which rule applies. Example: That would leave a die unused. There is a way to use both dice.

- Both sides always show how many pips are left.

■ Which rules?

- Standard backgammon: hits, the bar, bearing off, and doubles played four times.

- You have to use both dice when you can. If only one can be played, it has to be the larger.

- There is no doubling cube, and nothing is staked. A gammon or a backgammon is a name on the result screen.

■ Play the computer

- Five levels: Beginner, Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert.

- The computer uses the same dice as you. The level only changes how it picks its moves.

- Stuck? Ask for a hint.

- Wins and losses add up by level on the Record screen.

■ 2 players on one phone

- Take turns on one phone. The opening roll decides who goes first.

■ Easy to play

- Tap a checker, then tap where it goes, on the board or on the buttons beside the dice.

- Undo as much as you like within your turn, then press End turn.

- The game is saved as you play, so Continue brings it back after you close the app.

- Turn on Roll automatically if you don't want to tap for each roll.

- Sound, vibration and move animation can be turned off.

- The rules open from Home and from the game screen.

■ Privacy

Your games, roll logs, record and dice stats are stored on your phone and are never sent to our servers. If Android backup is on, they are included in your Google account backup, so they can carry over to a new phone.

The internet connection and advertising ID are used only to show ads and send usage statistics, and Google services process device information for this. See the privacy policy for details.
