Generate offline 2FA codes and manage passwords in one authenticator app.
Authenticator App combines a two-factor authenticator and password manager for Android. Generate one-time verification codes, save your logins and back up your data to your own Google Drive. Keep personal, work and gaming accounts organized without switching between tools.
Offline 2FA codes
Generate time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) for accounts that support authenticator-based two-step verification or multi-factor authentication (MFA). Once an account is added, your OTP codes work without an internet connection. See when each code refreshes and copy it with a tap.
Add accounts your way
• Scan a setup QR code with your camera.
• Select a QR screenshot from your photos.
• Enter a secret key manually.
Built-in guides explain how to enable two-factor authentication for supported services. Find tokens quickly with search, folders and different list layouts.
Password manager with autofill
Keep usernames, passwords, website addresses and notes alongside your authentication codes. Use Android autofill in compatible apps and websites to make signing in easier. Create passwords with the built-in password generator and review weak, reused or compromised passwords with password health checks.
Encrypted Google Drive backup
Keep an optional backup in your own Google Drive. Backups are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM, using a key derived from your backup password, before upload. Choose manual or automatic backups, review backup history and restore your saved data when moving to another phone. Keep your backup password somewhere safe so you can restore your encrypted backup.
App lock and secure items
Protect access with a PIN or supported biometric authentication. Keep payment cards, IDs, secure notes and Wi-Fi information in the app. Recover accidentally deleted items from Recently Deleted.
Bring your existing accounts
Import Google Authenticator transfer QR codes and supported authenticator backup files. Bring saved passwords across using supported CSV imports, including Google Chrome exports. Check the in-app import options for supported formats.
Make it fit your day
Switch between light and dark themes, organize accounts into folders and keep frequently used codes easy to find. Manage email, social media, work and gaming logins with your authenticator tokens and saved passwords together.
Before you get started
To use 2FA, first enable authenticator-based verification in the account or service you want to protect. Compatibility depends on the service's authentication method. An internet connection is required for cloud backup, restore and online breach checks.
