Auscultare Podcast + Audiobook

Listen without distraction to longer audio files (MP3) such as podcasts or audiobooks you've downloaded. It remembers where you've left and how many times you've played a file.

How to use this app:

- Download your favourite podcast or audiobook as MP3*

- Launch the app

- Tab '+'-button to open MP3

- Enjoy listening

- Resume playing by tapping files from the recently played list

- Swipe played files to remove them from the list

Podcasts and audiobooks are just files. You can download them manually from the official publisher using your browser or by using a small tool/script that does this automatically. I released a simple script that you could use:

I designed the app by hand to be kind on your battery by being free from bloat. It uses modern, native Android code so it integrates well. It works 100% offline and it works without a subscription or ads. Its source code is open and released under the free/libre software license GPLv3, granting you the permission to modify and extend the app.
