APOLOGÉTICA CATÓLICA

The objective of this application is to strengthen our Catholic faith in the face of the changes, doubts, and questions of our brothers who separated from the Catholic Church.

We must keep in mind what 1Peter 3:15 says: "On the contrary, glorify Christ the Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to defend yourselves before anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that you have."

Catholic apologetics helps us strengthen and deepen the faith placed in the Catholic Church.

ARE THE SEPARATED BROTHERS THEN OUR ENEMIES?....NO!:

a) John 13:35 (Christ says we should love them): “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34: “Love one another; as I have loved you.”

b) James 5:19-20 (The apostle calls Catholic apologists to rescue our Protestant brothers, lukewarm Catholics, this passage comes with a reward): “Brethren, if any among you has strayed from the truth, and someone brings him back, know that whoever brings the sinner back from the error of his way will save a soul from death, and will cover a multitude of sins.”

c) John 10:16: (Jesus speaks to the apologists, entrusting the Catholics to rescue the expected brothers, since his plan is to form a single church with a single pastor, no more sects), the quote says: “Also I have other sheep that are not of this fold; I must also bring those, and they will hear my voice; and there will be one (one) flock, and one (one) shepherd."

d) 1Peter 3,15-16 1Tim 6,12 and 2 Tim 3,16-17 (The apostles Peter and Paul with these biblical passages teach that we can debate or share biblically with a separated brother with gentleness, security, forcefulness, etc. That is why Peter says: “So if anyone accuses them, shame will be on those who slander the righteous life of Christians.”

Saint Paul was called crazy when he defended and debated the scriptures against people with other beliefs, see Acts 26:1-24. In Spanish, these quotes are telling us: “Fight a good battle of faith, because the Bible is useful to debate, correct, teach, refute, etc., the Catholic must set an example of simplicity and courtesy, because we know that we are in the truth.” ”. Our mission is to win over an estranged brother, not to drive him away.

WHAT TO SAY TO THE PROTESTANT BROTHERS WHEN THEY ASSERT THAT THE BIBLE IS NOT FOR DEBATE AND CONTENT:

The Bible is also to contend: Jude 1,3-4 Acts 17,1-3 Acts 18, 24-28 1 Timothy 6,12 2 Timothy 3,16-17 1 Peter 3,15-16 James 5,19-20 among others.

Conclusion: Although the separated brothers were deceived, they also become deceivers, repeaters of what the pastor has taught them and can drag others into perdition. It is our duty as Catholic Christians to love them, to help them recover the true path in faith. What more love than telling them the truth with the word of God and removing the blindfolds from their eyes?
