AEMPS CIMAVET

This application includes all veterinary medicines authorized in Spain and its purpose is to provide information on each of them. The veterinary medicines whose marketing authorizations have been revoked, remain five years for information. For those drugs whose approval has been temporarily suspended during the suspension remain. There may be a lag between the emergence of this new situation CIMAVET and the date has been effective the new situation of the authorization.

Among many other data, and as most important by picking the conditions of use of medicines authorized documents, the application provides access to the data sheet (or summary of product characteristics) and leaflets.

The data sheet is a document containing the description of the medication, indications, dosage, precautions and contraindications, adverse reactions, pharmaceutical data and properties of the drug.

This document is the result of scientific and technical making the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products on the scientific information submitted by holders of requests for authorization evaluation of veterinary medicines. The sheet forms part of the authorization granted to the Agency a drug.

The content of the technical data is updated during the marketing of the product in order to include new information becomes available, always with new assessment and authorization by the Agency.

The data sheet is exclusively directed to veterinary professional.

For other users, the application provides access to the latest version of the approved prospectus, which is the document that is included in the box of medicine and whose purpose is to inform the user.

The electronic publication of technical specifications and prospects responds to our desire to offer veterinary professionals and other citizens, respectively, official information on medicines.

The Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products can not be held responsible for illegal, improper, or manipulation of the content and information of this software application use. The access to this application, and the use made of the information and contents thereof shall be the sole responsibility of the person performing.

This application contains the information for medicinal products for veterinary use authorized in Spain in order to be a valuable tool to use them properly.

 For each medicine the following information and documents include:

• Name of the active substance

• Name of the holder of the marketing authorization

• National Code

•Registration number

• Authorization Date

• Name of the presentation

• State of commercialization: Authorized / suspended / canceled

• Data on prescription and use conditions

• The need for prescription and type

• Pharmaceutical form
