AEMPS CIMA

This application includes all the medicines authorized in Spain and its purpose is to provide pharmaceutical and administrative information on each of them.

Medicines, whose marketing authorizations have been revoked, are kept for information purposes for 5 years.

In the case of those medications whose authorization has been temporarily suspended, they are maintained during the suspension. There may be a 24-hour delay between the appearance of this new situation in CIMA and the date on which the new authorization situation has become effective.

From this application you have access to the Technical Data Sheet and the Package Leaflet of the medicine. The technical sheet is exclusively aimed at the healthcare professional. For patients and other users, the application offers access to the latest version of the authorized leaflet, which is the document that is included inside the medicine box and whose purpose is to inform the patient.

The application has a MeQA (Medicines Questions and Answers) natural language interpreter that answers questions about the content of the leaflet. You can also read the datamatrix code on the packaging of a medicine and navigate directly to the CIMA page of the medicine.  

Despite the effort made, we cannot exclude possible errors or omissions in the documents presented, which is why this application is for informational purposes only and is not valid for legal purposes. If the Authorization Holders of the medicines detect errors in the data, the templates available on this page must be completed. Validation can only be carried out by people who are authorized to use the RAEFAR database. We appreciate sending comments aimed at improving this tool to the email address suggestions_FT@aemps.es.
