Fortunately, a free Android app for “XAVOTSAV ‘14” developed by students at St. Xavier’s College Kolkata is now available to provide real-time guidance to festival goers.

“Technology changes things. Moving around in the world now can give us access to place-based digital information and interactions.”

The app provides access to the schedules of various musical, dance and theatrical performances, and other festival activities. The app can display the locations of performance venues, and app users can exactly determine where their favorite events are going on.

Students attending XAVOTSAV can easily plan their day by simply going to the “FUTURE” option in the navigation drawer. By selecting the “Future” option one can see what the upcoming events are going on in the auditorium or grounds or field or room through the app.
