⚠️ When Recovery May Not Work

Recovery is not possible for messages deleted before installation. If WhatsApp notifications are disabled or a chat is muted, messages will not be captured. Messages received while the chat window is open may not generate a notification. Media recovery depends on whether files were fully downloaded before deletion.

Notification Access permission is required. Without it, the app cannot capture or recover any messages.

WAWR reads only WhatsApp notifications already shown on your device. No messages are uploaded to external servers.
