Wargames of 1939 Remastered is a modern tribute to those timeless hex-and-counter experiences — combining classic gameplay with updated visuals and a completely rewritten AI opponent designed to play more intelligently, adapt to the situation, and provide a consistent challenge.

This remastered version is based on the original 2013 release, now rebuilt with modern technology and significantly improved game systems.

The game features a series of scenarios set in the early days of the Second World War, when Germany launched its invasion of Poland. Each scenario recreates key battles of the campaign, from the opening border clashes to the defence of Warsaw.

Designed for fans of deep, tactical gameplay, the game includes historically inspired units and mechanics such as supply lines, artillery support, and terrain-based strategy. The maps are based on real battle locations, with some gameplay-driven adaptations to keep scenarios engaging.

You can play solo against the AI or locally in hot-seat multiplayer by passing the device between players. Both German and Polish sides are playable.
