What is e-Way Bill?

For quick and easy movement of goods across India without any hindrance, all the check posts across the country are abolished. The GST system provides a provision of e-Way Bill, a document to be carried by the person in charge of conveyance, generated electronically from the common portal. To implement the e-Way Bill system, ICT based solution is required. Hence, as approved by the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council, a solution has been designed and developed by National Informatics Centre and it is being rolled out for the use of taxpayers and transporters. To ease the operation of e-way bill generation, the SMS based facility is provided to generate the e-way bills.

Tax payers or un-registered transporters who are the main stakeholders of e-Way Bill system under GST, can generate e-way bills via SMS once they have configured their mobile number on e-way bill portal.

To avoid manually entering several parameters to generate e-way bill, one can feed data in uniform manner and same shall be preserved for future reference also.

Like receipant Name, GSTN, Pin code shall be re-used to save lot of time for creating another e-Way bill. This is how this app saves lot of time, specially when you are on the road and away from internet.

One can save as draft if it has only invoice details available, and can feed rest of the details later and can proceed further.

Can easily keep track of all the e-way bills generated and can take print receipt with QR code of e-Way Bill.

In case of break down or for any other reason, one can update vehicle number for pre generated e-Way Bill Number(EWBN).

In case if e way bill number is wrongly created, on can cancel it withing 24 hours.
