Droid Locator is an android application that will completely plan your day. In Droid Locator application we are enhancing use of android phone by adding features like weather notifications, speed alert, automatic message reader and locating your contacts from other remote phone.

This project presents a mobile application based on SMS, Telephone, Services and Broadcast Receiver. The main feature of this application is to locate the phone number when I missed my phone at home with Future SMS. The mobile application was implemented using Android.

Locating contact details

Services will run in background, whenever SMS will reach and they find find word like "Send" or "Missed", then Android apps will search name into contact details, if name founds in contact, automatically SMS will reply back to same no, with the contact details.

SMS Reader

SMS speaker – is one of the major functionality of this project, while we are in bike or car, we can’t check our SMS. Sometime some of the SMS is important from office or family or friends. This application will help to read out sms while driving or any time.

Weather that plans your day:

This module will work based on current location. Once we set the time, our application will give you the weather condition of that time with some useful message like if it is hot carry an umbrella and if it is cold carry coats, sweaters etc.

This module also includes greeting the user on predefined timings set in the device. For example the application should great the user every morning or every night around his normal sleep time or wake up time, birthday of his is set then it should wish user accordingly.

Droid Locator will give you future weather broadcasting detail too.

Speed alert that target your safety:

Application will allow the user to alert the user when user crosses a certain predefined speed. This is mainly used for people who travel in bikes or cars to prevent accidents . Once you cross the speed limit it will give an alarm and a text message that you have crossed the speed limit. sometimes you won’t know you are crossing that speed limit. If you set your limit to that in your application, you can prevent giving fines.

It will work on GPS basis.

Objective of Droid Locator

1. People who are dependent on weather will be beneficial.

2. It can also be used where people want to keep an alert if their vehicle crosses certain speed limit.

3. Our application can be used to complaint about overspeed of CAB drivers to their owners.

4. While we are in bike or car, we can’t check our SMS. Some time some of the SMS is important from office or family or friends. This application will help to read out sms while driving or any time.

5. People who will forget the phone or in some situation where they don’t want to carry the phone will be given the way to retrieve the useful contacts.
