⚡ Performance
Gameplay is up to 2× smoother, especially on mid-range and budget phones.
Photo backgrounds now stay visible even on modest phones. They used to be removed to keep the game smooth.
No more hitch when the background changes mid-song.
Slightly smaller app size.
🖼️ Backgrounds
Songs longer than 3:50 now get a third background at 80%.
The mid-song background no longer lands on the image that’s already showing.
No more traps or special tiles during background changes (50% and 80%).
👁️ Eye comfort
Photo backgrounds are slightly darker, so tiles stand out more clearly.
The background sways more slowly and gently to help prevent motion sickness. The ultra-smooth glide is reserved for the “High” graphics setting.
New “Background Blur” option in Settings.
The “Sliced Glitch” tile no longer creates flickering stripes.
The “Static” tile effect no longer flashes; it now pulses gently.
🛠️ Fixes
“Music unavailable” no longer appears by mistake: when coming back to the app, after a brief network drop, or when replaying some NULL Protocol tracks.
The “Retry” button now resumes the music at the right spot.
NULL Protocol progress is no longer erased after a failed run. Tracks you’ve already cleared count again.
Music no longer keeps playing in the menu when you quickly leave a NULL track.
The background no longer jumps suddenly when you score an S rank.
