The APP "Fribourg Tourisme AR" is used for tour projects set up by Fribourg Tourism or other partners, and for which augmented reality content is available. Three tours are available on the APP:

- The immersive tour "Frÿburg 1606"

- The tour of the fortifications

- The "Urban Memories" game

Frÿburg1606: "The immersive tour that takes you back in history."

Much more than an audioguide, "Frÿburg1606" is a unique immersive experience. Mixing audio, video and augmented reality, this unusual way of visiting will take you to the 17th-century Fribourg. You will discover fortifications that have disappeared, meet people in their daily lives and above all, you will explore one of the most beautiful medieval old towns in Europe, its history and its legends. Follow your guide Philippe and the 1606 city map, and take full advantage of this 21st-century tour, which will take you on a journey through space and time.

Visit of the wall and fortifications: "The largest ensemble of medieval military architecture in Switzerland"

Few cities can offer such a well-preserved medieval military heritage. In fact, it is the most important display of medieval architecture of Switzerland! This tour will take you from one tower to another, allowing you to visit the interiors of a large number of buildings. You will walk along the longest stretch of publicly accessible walls in Switzerland and enjoy exceptional panoramas in history-steeped places. With eleven towers, a bulwark and 900m of walls this perfectly preserved setting will guarantee you an unforgettable visit of the historic old town of the Fribourg Region.

Urban Memories: "Dive into the secrets of Pérolles"

Through an exciting investigation game, discover the Pérolles plateau. Urban planning, architecture, industry, education: the Belle Epoque shaped the current face of Fribourg.

"What is this? I'm picking up something on my detector! It looks like memory threads... in suspension! They are everywhere on Pérolles. The images look old, they must be memories from the beginning of the 20th century. Discover who these memories belong to and, above all, why they are emerging now."

Game developed for the 125th anniversary of the University of Applied Sciences of Fribourg (HEIA-FR) in 2021.
