WalkPlanner

WalkPlanner helps you discover safe, circular routes for running and walking right where you are — no guesswork, no backtracking.

Set your distance, pick a surface preference (road, trail, park, or mixed), and WalkPlanner generates loop routes using OpenStreetMap data and your GPS location. Review multiple options on an interactive map, compare distance and safety details, then start tracking when you're ready.

KEY FEATURES

• Loop route generation — Circular routes that start and end at your location

• Surface preferences — Filter for roads, trails, parks, or a mixed route

• Interactive maps — OpenStreetMap tiles with route overlays

• Live session tracking — Distance, duration, and pace while you move

• Pause and resume — Control your session from the app or notification

• Session history — Review past runs and walks stored on your device

• Offline-friendly — Cached map tiles and route data when connectivity is limited

• Imperial or metric — Choose the units that work for you in Settings

HOW IT WORKS

1. Enter how far you want to go and choose a surface type.

2. WalkPlanner fetches nearby street and path data and builds route options.

3. Pick the loop that fits your plan and start your session.

4. Track progress in real time, then save your stats to history.

Built for everyday runners, walkers, and anyone who wants a planned route without leaving the neighborhood. WalkPlanner uses your location only while planning routes and during active tracking sessions.

Note: Route suggestions depend on OpenStreetMap coverage in your area. Always follow local traffic laws and use your judgment when walking or running outdoors.
