Microphone Test allows you to determine if the microphone on your device actually works.
This is useful in order to find out if microphone issues come from the device itself (os or hardware issues) or from an application (broken application or bad application settings). If your microphone fails this test, the issue most likely comes from the device itself. On the other hand, if your microphone passes this test but still doesn’t work in a specific application, the issue comes from the application.
In both cases, Microphone Test provides links to instructions on how to fix your microphone on many applications and devices.
Microphone Test is a mobile app port of the web app online-mic-test.com, and is developed by iotools.
At iotools (iotools.co), we develop online and mobile app tools that are fast, anonymous, free and easy to use.
What makes iotools’ online tools unique is that they don't send any user data (files, audio and video data) over the internet. All the work performed by the tools is done by the browser itself! This means that our tools are fast and anonymous (the user's privacy is totally protected). Whereas most other online tools send user data to remote servers in order for this data to be processed, we don't. All user data stays local to their device. With us, you're safe!
We achieve this by using the latest web technologies: HTML5 and WebAssembly, a form of code that is run by the browser allowing our online tools to execute at near-native speed.
