KANJI via Blackjack

This app has been specially created with people who plan to visit Japan or are interested in Japanese words. If you dropped by a Japanese-style restaurant in Japan, such as Izakaya (Japanese-style pub), Ryo-tei (Japanese restaurant), buckwheat noodle restaurant, you would probably see price on a menu that is written in Kanji (Chinese characters). Then, this app would come in hoping to help you to read how much it is naturally.

The app covers some letters of KANJI number, such as [one] to [ten], [hundred], [thousand], [ten thousand], [hundred thousand], which are basic Kanji numbers, and shows how to read and write.

When you saw a list of Kanji numbers page in the app, you would notice to associate Kanji numbers from one to ten with English numbers from one to ten respectively though; there is not any Kanji numbers associating with eleven, for example. Then this app comes in to learn how to write it, such as if you wanted to write “eleven” in Kanji number letter, you should use two KANJI letters [ten] and [one], because you could describe eleven saying ten plus one.

In the "KANJI Lesson" section, the first thing to be seen when you tap [KANJI Lesson] button is a List page where you can choose "KANJI Number letter". Each cell of this list page is composed of three sections, such as “Image of KANJI Number letter", "How to pronounce in Japanese" and "A meaning of the KANJI Number letter in English”. The second thing to be seen when you tap one of these "KANJI Number letter" is a practice page of "KANJI Number letter" you just pick up, where is composed of "How to pronounce in Japanese", "A drawing KANJI letter area", "A number of its KANJI stroke", [Retry] button and [Test My Japanese!] button. The stroke number is counted down to zero each time you draw lines following a red guidance line of KANJI letter shown on the drawing KANJI letter area.

In the “Play Game” section, You are dealt with two cards that are face up. The dealer is also dealt with two cards, the one is face up and the another is face down. Then, you choose whether to take a card or end your turn, using [Hit] button to take one more card and [Stand] button to end your turn. In general, you choose which button you tap so that the hand value would not exceed 21 points. As you imagine, it is an ordinary game of Blackjack except for numbers on cards because all numbers are written in Kanji Number letters.
