Once you are logged in, you won't be able to find any previous conversations. Go to the users tab and click on the user you want to chat with. You will be navigated to their Profile page.
Please be careful before deleting the contact, because that will remove the conversation you had with them. You can see those old messages once you add them again to your account by sending a message request.
My Profile section is added to the menu tab. Now you can update your status as well.
