In the increasingly interconnected environment, we are consistently required to develop better and user friendly information systems. There is an essence to manage the information and create an interface for the users to access the information. There is an inclination of users towards mobile application, which provides handy information to the users/excursionists. Easy to use and intuitive applications enable the visitors to know the updated information and the event updates.

Barcelona Smart City is a mobile application which is being developed with a USP to provide handy information to the visitors of Barcelona Convention Center. There are excursionists who plan to visit the event and in need of information related to the event and the surrounding places. The inception of this mobile application is to provide accessible information to the users who visit the conference. The users are provided with ample and apt information in the nearby vicinity of the convention center.
