Evidence has shown that inhaler misuse is ubiquitous among all patients who use inhalers, with some studies identifying misuse in over 80% of patients. Promoting patient self-management is an essential component of programs to reduce hospital re-admissions.

This is an educational animation that demonstrates correct and incorrect use of multi-dose asthma inhalers. It contains English and Spanish.
