Pointer Mouse is an Android application that uses sensor fusion technology to determine the device's precise orientation in space. This orientation information is sent wirelessly via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to the Pointer Mouse Server application running on the computer that is being controlled. The server then uses the orientation data to determine where you are pointing at on the screen and moves the computer cursor to that location. Pointer Mouse supports all of the features of a traditional mouse. Pointer Mouse also has a mouse touch pad as an alternative to pointing your device at the screen.

Pointer Mouse allows you to use your Android keyboard to control your computer. This includes all of the advanced features: auto-correct, auto-complete, Swype, and voice typing. This is done not by just simply mapping individual keys, but by observing changes in recognized speech phrases and typed or corrected text.

Updates - Mar. 31, 2015

Pointer Mouse has received a substantial amount of updates to improve accuracy and usability:

★Sensor Fusion Update - Pointer Mouse has been updated to use the newest Android sensor fusion technology. This update allows the sensor fusion algorithm to produce highly accurate device orientation information using only the accelerometers and gyroscopes, excluding the magnetometer. Pointer Mouse now produces highly accurate cursor movements even with high magnetic interference and also uses less power.

★Snap Focus - This new feature gives you greater cursor control in pointer mode. Snap Focus is activated when the cursor is left in a single location for one second. It causes the device's movement sensitivity to be decreased and the stability to be increased. This allows you to easily make precise mouse clicks in tiny screen locations.

★Power Saving Mode - This new feature decreases the battery usage by lowering sensor update speeds after 20 seconds of inactivity.

★Adjustable View Angle - This setting allows you to adjust the device's movement sensitivity to account for different screen sizes and viewing distances. The View Angle is the estimated angle at the device from the left to the right of the screen.The View Angle can be adjusted so that the cursor is exactly where you are pointing or can be increased to improve stability.

★Adjustable Filter Coefficient: Pointer Mouse uses a low pass filter to reduce jitter in cursor movements. The filter also introduces an undesired delay in movement reactivity. The Filter Coefficient allows you to adjust the trade-off between reduced jitter and increased delay. The larger the Filter Coefficient, the more jitter/less delay and vice versa.
