MY WIFE DISAPPEARED ON AUGUEST 28, 1998. But I won't be able to find her for another hundred years. You see, on a mission with my commanding officer, we uncovered a time capsule, but it wasn't like any other time capsule before it. You see, it came from the future, and somehow, was sent back in time. Some may wonder the reasons, and how it managed to show up exactly the city we would be guarding that night. I know the truth, or rather, I would. You see, the paper simply said "be patient." It was included with several newspaper clippings and odd ends that proved it was at least not of this world, if not of this time. It was later that night when I came home that a note of another kind found me. One that informed me my wife had been kidnapped. I was frantic, a desperate man. There was no motive for this kidnapping that I could think of, and in my desperate quest to find her, I fell ill. I ran myself ragged. I became so ill in fact, I apparently slipped into a coma. It lasted nearly a hundred years, and when I woke up, I hadn't aged a decade. And there, at my bedside table, was the note. Both of them actually. But it was the note from my wife's kidnapper that caught my eye. This time, it had a ransom. A demand. Something to go by. I woke up at the height of human technological development, the reason being a child who was capable of communicating telepathically with computers and other mechanical and electronic devices. This special child? My son. You see, the ransom was not for money, it was for my time. Because I was the only human capable of communicating with him. And my wife's kidnapper? Herself. While it might seem insane, my wife was like no other. She was an extraterrestrial I fell in love with during a campaign to an outer region. Apparently it was foretold her people would one day rule the humans, but she was peaceful and wanted no such prediction to come true, but then she became pregnant and she knew then the prophecy was to be fulfilled, but first the human/alien war must be fought and won, which meant she had to leave the present and let it run its course. Finally it was safe, and as one of the world's most renowned families, life is good. We have peace. Perhaps only for now, but we have peace, we have each other. But to get here, I had to win a war. A war in my own mind. It is here you must journey. You must conquer. It is the only way I'll be able to escape the inner workings of my own mind and meet up with my family.
