Topokart is the app for you who like the outdoors. Whether you are going on a trip on foot, hunting, fishing or kayaking, the app will give you access to detailed and good maps for Norway.

The app is a tool both for planning a trip, but also a good partner during the trip. With the help of GPS, you can orientate yourself in the map. And if you should find interesting places along the trail, you can register a point for the place. Examples can be a good tent site, good fishing spots or areas with a lot of clouds.

You can also make tracks for your trips. This gives you an overview of distance, altitude and time, but remember to bring an extra battery charger in case you run out of power. You can also export the trace as a GPX file should you need it. The app can also open GPX files, so if you find a trip on ut.no you can easily import it into Topokart.

Although the app can work well as a navigation tool, it is not recommended to use the app for this alone - you never know when technical devices may fail.

You can download maps for use without the internet, this comes in handy in areas with poor or no coverage.

The app also has some more advanced tools - you can, among other things, use the scale to calculate distance in the map. If you want to know how high you are above the sea, then there is a tool for this as well. This tool is based on a terrain model from the Mapping Authority and is very accurate for many areas in Norway, all the way down to the meter in fact.

The app also requires no registration or login, all data is stored locally on your phone.
