Pricing and Payment

Each tailoring project is unique and bespoke to your requirements. For this reason, it is often difficult to state a standard price. A price guide for previously completed projects is illustrated on the link prices & payment at the bottom of this page.

Payment methods I accept are BACS (bank transfer), cash, PINGIT (mobile App payment) and cheque.

For any work, there is a minimum charge of £10 - reductions are offered when working on more than one of the same item. I charge £5 for initial advice - a nominal fee that covers for my time spent. This £5 fee is deductable from the price of the repair or alteration once you decide to go ahead with the work discussed.

Experience and Capability

I began sewing when I was fourteen years old. Taught by the daughter of a London tailor, my auntie guided me through best practice techiques and methods to achieve the most professional tailoring results. Most of my tailoring and sewing services use traditional methods such as hand-finishing hems, damp cloth seam pressing and basic machinery methods to provide the most satisfactory results.

My experience makes up for where my qualifications lack in terms of tailoring techniques ... Years spent making my own tailored suits, repairing clothes for family and friends and lots of perserverance! I have a formal degree qualification in Design Practice - I can offer knowledge and experience to consult and advise on any interior design scheme, room-set or soft furnishing project.
