Sprite Reader

A sprites viewer to the aid of the development of digital games.

Sprite Reader is app to view and test sprite images and export the setting parameters to work correctly in game. It is possible to export the source code of sprite animation to work with the Corona SDK Game Engine.

How to use:

1) Load a sprite PNG image

2) Set the parameters, if you already know them. If not, leave the fields as they are.

3) Visualize the sprite in action and then, if necessary, go to the properties screen and adjust the parameters

4) Repeat the step 3º until the animation is having a natural behavior expected.

If you are a game developer, the optimal parameters that you found it will useful for coding.

If you are a artist, this app is useful to test your animation and see if everything is ok.

We have seven parameters to set:

- Width

- Height

- Number of Frames

- Time

- Loop Count

- Loop Start Frame

- Loop Direction
