Manga is a comic made in Japan, the word is used specifically to talk about Japanese comics, according to the style developed in Japan at the end of the 19th century. The word has a long and very complicated prehistory at the beginning of Japanese Art. Makaaka (read: man-ga-ka, or ma-ng-ga-ka) is the one who drew manga.
