Railway signal tests are classified into the following three groups:

- Fixed signals

Signs that are permanently or temporarily installed at certain points of

the road or the stations.

They are divided into:

- Fundamental: those that regulate the movement of trains and maneuvers.

- Indicators: those that complement the orders of the fundamental signals.

- Speed ​​limitation: those that impose restrictions on the running of trains, such as

consequence of particular circumstances of the road or of the facilities.

- Portable signals

Those that can be used or made by staff at any time and place.

- Train signals

Those that carry the trains in their head or tail end.
