SugarSweet is a free app I initially made for myself as a tool to help with my ulcerative colitis. Having been diagnosed two years ago, I found sugar alcohols and some artificial sweeteners significantly exacerbated my symptoms, and upon research, discovered this is true of crohn's disease and various other conditions.
After using it myself, I wanted to share SugarSweet with others who might benefit from knowing exactly what's in their pantry or at the grocery store. The app has a database of various sugar alcohols and sweeteners and searches ingredient lists for matches. Simply scan the barcode of a product, and the app lists any sugar alcohols or artificial sweeteners, along with links to learn more.
SugarSweet is free and open source!
