Student Connect

Student Connect app is a part of eTechSchool Product Suite! Student Connect app was launched to help schools and students to operate ONLINE/DIGITALLY. This was a prime need for the schools when schools had to be closed physically, but education had to continue in an online format.

Although there were several apps available for online lectures/meetings, the Student Connect app provides solutions across different aspects of online school. Student Connect app covers Exam Module, Live lecture module, and Study material module.

Here are some of the key/prime modules -

1. Online MCQ Exams -

- School teachers design the Multiple choice questions and schedule an exam using eTechSchool platform.

- Students are provided a facility to download the MCQ question paper and they attempt the same on the app.

- Once the MCQ paper is attempted, the scores are synced with the backend server and further used for Report Card generation.

2. Download Question papers and upload Corresponding Answer papers -

- This is a very important feature of the Student connect app especially when exams are happening online due to the current pandemic.

- School teachers schedule the exams using eTechSchool platform. Students are allowed to download the paper during exam time. By referring to the paper, students write the answers on a physical exam sheet/blank paper. Students are provided 30 mins after the exam time to capture the photos of the answer sheets and upload them to the server. Teachers check the uploaded answer sheets to grade the student.

- In this module, students are allowed to select up to 20 answer sheet photos from the phone and upload them as answer sheets.

- This is a very critical functionality of the app as it allows students to attend exams remotely.

3. Upload and View Homeworks - This is a critical feature especially when schools are functioning remotely and homework submission is happening online

- This is a very important feature of the Student connect app especially when physical schools are not able to operate.

- Subject teachers define the homework in eTechschool or by using Teacher Connect App. The same is visible to students in the Student Connect app.

- Homework answers could be a hard written document (which is scanned and uploaded), it could be a softcopy (directly uploaded) or it could be an audio/video (directly uploaded)

- Once the homework files are scanned/created, those are uploaded from the app to the server, where teachers can check the same

- This is a very critical functionality of the app as Homework is a vital part of any school curriculum

4. Attend Lectures on the go

- In this module, Student Connect app is integrated with Google Meet, Zoom for providing a secure way for students to join the live classes

- Students are shown the live lectures for the day on the app, they need to click on those so as to join the live lecture

5. View Study material anytime and anywhere

- In this module, schools can upload the study material on the app.

- Students can select the particular subject and unit, so as to view all the uploaded study material (PDFs, videos, audios).

- This module is vital especially, for preprimary/primary schools where live online lectures are less effective.

These 5 modules are very important in order for schools to function remotely.
