Steve Defender is a fast one-thumb wave-defense archery game in a blocky pixel world. Hold on the field to shoot, aim with the same finger, and pick a new upgrade after every wave — no two runs play the same.

Travel from the Plains through forests, deserts, oceans, frozen peaks and abandoned mineshafts into the Deep Dark, the Nether and THE END — then on through the ruins of ancient kingdoms to the Far End: the End City and the Heart of the Void, where the last chest stands right at the brink. Every level generates its own landscape and keeps it forever.

◆ A CODEX OF 28: MOBS, MINI-BOSSES AND 4 BOSSES

Zombies, cave spiders, skeleton archers, creepers, endermen, ghasts, slimes, witches, phantoms, drowned, wither skeletons, shulkers, piglin brutes, charged creepers and mini-bosses. Above them all: the WITHER, the ELDER GUARDIAN, the WARDEN and the ENDER DRAGON — each with a second phase that changes the fight.

◆ MECHANICS WORTH LEARNING

Shoot a ghast's fireball to send it back. Break a slime down to the last drop. Kill the Evoker and his vexes vanish. Wait out the Elder Guardian's spikes — hitting them reflects damage into your own chest. Storms charge creepers into double-radius bombs, and from wave 14 on, every 7th wave in settled biomes brings an illager RAID with a Ravager and an Evoker.

◆ ARSENAL

Eight weapons — Oak Bow, Crossbow, Blaze Breath, Channeling Trident, TNT Slingshot, Frost Star, Scatter Volley and Throwing Blade. Eight active abilities, from healing potions to the Totem of Undying. Eight pets that fight, slow, poison, heal or collect emeralds for you.

◆ ROGUELITE UPGRADES + PERMANENT ENCHANTMENTS

Triple Volley, piercing, crit, frost arrows and the ARROW STORM ultimate — choose 1 of 3 between waves, and now and then a Wandering Trader offers a paid fourth. Spend emeralds at the Enchanting Table for permanent bow strength, draw speed, chest durability and luck.

◆ ENDER PEARLS AND A SECOND CHEST

Endermen drop ender pearls — blink to your aim point in a pinch. In End biomes an Ender Chest becomes an optional objective: keep it intact for ×1.4 emeralds.
