App to identify violence in your relationship and what you can do

SORORA means brotherhood, support, respect and union between women. This application wants to be your ally to identify the presence and types of violence in your relationship, find out what actions you can take to stop or prevent them and connect with other women to share your experiences and give each other support.

You will find three large sections: on the first call, How is my relationship going? You can access tests to identify the presence of psychological, economic, physical and / or sexual violence in your relationship and how you currently feel in your relationship. In the second section called "What to do?" You will find a description of the care routes for the different types of violence, tips for healthy relationships and alternative actions focused on your personal work to prevent the appearance of violence in your relationship. Finally, in the third section called "Who are my networks?" You will be able to hear testimonials and connect through social networks with other women who have had experiences similar to yours.

With your safety in mind we have included a panic button and incognito mode that will allow you to go to immediate help in case you find yourself in danger.

It is important that you know that this app does not replace the legal, psychological or social support that a professional can give you. So the results of the tests you take are not diagnostic and the actions mentioned are suggestions thinking about your well-being, but it is important that you always consult experts in your area.

In addition, it is directed mainly at heterosexual women, we recognize the presence of violence in non-heterosexual relationships, however, it focuses on the relational dynamics most identified in couples made up of cisgender people and it is directed at women because they are the most frequent victims of this kind of relationships.

This app is developed by the Interdisciplinary Team for Research and Action against Invisible Violence towards Women of the University Foundation of the Andean Area within the framework of the project entitled “Mainstreaming the gender perspective in strategies for the prevention and care of violence against women: a transnational case study ”.
