Slide and Spell

Slide and Spell is a spelling search game in a different way. If you like the spelling type games but tired of the same, mediocre ways, you should give Slide and Spell a try.

The puzzle is made of a grid of letters. The player slides the columns up and down and when the center row of letters matches the target word, a shot is win.

The grids of letters are designed in a clever way that they consist of very common seen words, called core words. If the player slides the grids and guessed the less common word that not listed in the core words, the match is still valid but it usually means the players has to do more slides and spell more words.

When all the letters of grids are used at least in one match, the puzzle is completed.

Slide and Spell is the modern anagram puzzle, combining wordplay, modern game design, and a mobile-first approach. In most anagram games, you search for new combinations within a single word, but in Slide and Spell, you search within three to five words stacked & scrambled up together. In most word search or scape games, or spelling games, the player needs to spell the words with limited letter constraint which leads to lots of obscured words. It becomes more and more boring after playing these games for several levels. But with Slide and Spell, the constraints are more than one line of letters, they are multiple and can be combined to different constraints. So, the players can solve the puzzle with very limited vocabulary and they should because the core words are selected as common words.

In Create mode, you can quickly generate your customized puzzle and share it with your friends. You friends don't even need to install the game. They can play your puzzle in the web browser. This is a fun way to exchage secret words between friends!
