Sittings Restaurant and Bar

Sittings Restaurant was established in 2006 after the owner was involved in the events industry. There was always a need for food and he kept outsourcing until he decided to open a restaurant where he could hold his meeting with his clients and the rest is history.

The management of Sittings has been involved in a lot of competitions in the hospitality industry - in 2011 we entered the Guinness Braai master's competition and we got an award. In 2014 we entered the Spekko Rice competition and the owner was the male - he scooped the price among women.

When we first started we had 6 employees and the business grows until we started opening outlets - Sittings Butchery and Shisanyama, Sittings Upstairs. The total number of jobs created was 19. All our employees have funeral covers which are paid by the owner. The employees contribute 0% to the cover.

We always go out on team building experience and enlighten ourselves with the latest trends in our industry. We are a big family and once you dine here-you are welcomed by all. In 2008 the management did management and capacity building program through Techno serve facilited by University of Johannesburg. We know our industry and we have overcame Covid-19.
