In times of emergency a quick message sent and received is all it takes to make a difference.
Send SOS is an app which sends out pre-formed distress text messages in times of emergency at the tap of a single button.
The app has a very simple design which caters to various demographics and only requires you to initially select a default text message and enter the mobile numbers of people you want to contact in times of emergency.
Send SOS embeds the following information when it sends out a message:
1)Mobile Network Provider's name
2)Country Code of the user
3)Latitude and Longitude information whenever Location data is available
4)Device ID of the mobile device only when an emergency message is selected
As of today, Send SOS has been designed to operate on smartphones and tablets which have an operating SIM card. In other words the device has to be connected to a telephony operator's network.
