Selformer

Selformer is located on the second floor of the beautiful and historic Greenpoint Loft Building at 67 West Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

At Selformer, we create a welcoming and safe space for all bodies. Founder and CEO Dana Distortion changed her life through her Pilates practice, and is eager to share the magic of Pilates with the community.

Selformer is not your ordinary Pilates studio. It offers first-of-its-kind self-service/on-demand video instruction in private rooms. It also offers small group classes (chair, mat, barre, and more) and private reformer sessions with certified and junior instructors.

In addition to state-of-the-art reformer equipment and other Pilates accessories, the space is filled with light, great energy, beautiful artwork, lots of coffee, and a pinch of rock-n-roll.

Selformer provides a guide for class/difficulty levels, and requires new clients to take at least two private sessions before utilizing the self-service stations.

The lobby/reception area has a small coffee shop where instructors and clients can refresh themselves before and after each session with drip coffee, water, and snacks.

Selformer has a small and unique retail and online store that offers Selformer merchandise, sportswear, Distortion Unplugged goods, vintage music tees, vintage clothing, and more. The studio is set to host special events and workshops starting in summer 2023.
