Selectic is a movie and TV show watchlist that helps you decide what to watch. Filter out low-rated titles, compare your best options side-by-side with AI scoring, and see what your friends are watching — so you pick something great in under 2 minutes.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Filter — Set your minimum rating, pick genres or moods, and choose your streaming services. Movies and TV shows that don't meet your standards disappear.

2. Compare — Select up to 3 movies or shows and get an AI-powered side-by-side comparison with pros, cons, and match scores personalized to your taste.

3. Choose — Pick your winner. Add the rest to your watchlist or mark as "not interested."

4. Share — Every comparison gets a shareable link. Send it to friends, let them vote on what to watch tonight.

Follow friends and see what movies and shows they're watching in your feed. Like their picks. Vote on their comparisons. Visit profiles to discover what they love. Your movie circle grows naturally from shared picks — no forced follows, no strangers.

Sync your phone contacts to find friends already on Selectic. Invite others via SMS. Contacts are matched privately using hashed phone numbers — we never store your address book.

USER CONTENT & SAFETY

Users can set display names and profile photos visible to other users. You can report inappropriate content directly from any profile, and block users who violate community standards. Our moderation team reviews all reports. You can delete your account at any time from Profile settings — all your data is permanently removed.

AI & PRIVACY

Selectic uses AI to generate personalized movie and TV show recommendations and comparisons. Your search queries and comparison data are processed by AI services — your email and account details are never shared. Contact sync uses hashed phone numbers for friend matching — your address book is never stored. Your data is stored securely and never sold.
