Screen Translate brings real-time, on-screen translation to games, comics, video subtitles, photos and documents. One tap on the floating ball — no copying, no switching apps.
🎯 Four reading modes
▸ Standard mode covers apps, chats and web pages
▸ Region mode locks onto one area when the layout is crowded
▸ Reading mode is built for long articles and web novels
▸ Manga mode finds speech bubbles, reads vertical and right-to-left text, and rebuilds the background behind the translation
⚡ Five ways to capture
▸ Full screen translates everything you can see at once
▸ Region lets you drag a box around the part that matters
▸ Auto translates again whenever the screen changes, so games and video keep moving
▸ Subtitle tracks the subtitle line and updates with it
▸ Popup gives an instant answer for text you type or paste
🎮 Game translator
The app works with games on Japanese, Korean, Chinese and other regional servers. Full screen covers the interface, region mode targets dialogue and menus, and auto mode follows the story without any tapping. Your own glossary keeps character names, skills and items consistent.
📖 Manga, manhwa and webtoon
Bubbles are detected on the device, text is recognised in any direction, and the original background is restored behind the translation, so the page still reads like a page.
📷 Camera and photo translation
You can point the camera at a sign, a menu or a label and read it live, or open a picture from your gallery.
🖼 Built-in editor
You can move text boxes, change fonts and colours, fix a word the OCR misread, then save or share the image.
📄 Document translation
PDF, Word and TXT files are translated in the cloud, and a notification arrives when the file is ready.
✂️ Translate selected text
You select text in any app, choose Screen Translate, and the translation appears without leaving what you were doing.
🤖 20+ translation engines
There are free engines for everyday text and AI models for the lines that are hard to get right. When one engine is unavailable the next one takes over by itself.
🔍 Multi-engine OCR
On-device recognition covers Latin, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Devanagari and needs no connection, and several cloud OCR engines are there when an image is hard to read.
🌍 100+ languages
English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Hindi, Turkish and many more.
🛠 Built for daily use
▸ A floating ball you can put anywhere, with gesture shortcuts
▸ A home screen widget, app shortcuts and a volume key shortcut
▸ History, favourites and a personal glossary
▸ AI tone that is formal, casual, concise or detailed
▸ Dark mode, and layouts for tablets and foldables
🎁 PRO and credits
The daily check-in and inviting friends both earn credits for the AI features. PRO removes the limits on every mode.
📌 What people use it for
Overseas games, raw manga and webtoons, foreign shops and forums, video subtitles, signs and menus while travelling, study and work documents.
Accessibility notice
Screen Translate uses the Accessibility Service to read the text that is on screen, and only for translation. That text goes to the engine you chose and is never stored on our servers. With on-device OCR it never leaves your phone.
