Screen Time uses the Accessibility API to detect foreground app changes (TYPE_WINDOW_STATE_CHANGED events) in order to track daily and weekly app usage duration. This is the core functionality of the app. No personal content is read or collected — only the package name of the active app is recorded. All data is stored locally on the device.
